A warning to drivers on the roads of Dubai of 9 prominent violations

The General Directorate of Traffic in the United Arab Emirates clarifies the violations that were recorded during the first half of this year, by 288 thousand and 37 violations.

Dubai Police warns of common violations on Dubai roads:

For his part, Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Traffic Department at Dubai Police, stated that non-compliance with the mandatory lane line is a major problem, as it is not limited to the seriousness of the violation only, but rather it often represents an offense to other drivers who are committed to their lane, when they suddenly find another driver cutting them off the road. And storms their path without right, which arouses feelings of aggression

Suwaidan explained that the Dubai Police deal with such violations by several means, most notably the advanced control techniques at the exits that document the violations with photography.

As for the serious violations that were monitored during the first half of this year, which amounted to 288 thousand and 37 violations.

Standing in the middle of the road for no reason.
Not appreciating road users.
Run a red light.

Dubai Police honors committed drivers:
Brigadier General Suwaidan stated that the Dubai Police are keen to honor and motivate exemplary drivers through systems such as "white points", as they always shed light on negative behaviors that cause serious accidents or act aggressively on the road.

Violation of non-compliance with the mandatory lane

Swaidan also indicated that non-compliance with the obligatory lane is one of the unacceptable behaviors because it represents a violation of the rights of others committed to their path, so Dubai Police is keen to deter violators, through control techniques and traffic men to enhance the safety of road users, and to establish discipline, especially at exits and intersections.

Violation of distraction from the road while driving:

Being distracted from the road while driving using the phone is one of the most prominent violations recorded by the administration and one of the most serious ones, which is a major common factor with other violations such as excessive speed or sudden deviation in traffic deaths, and the number reached 33 thousand and 129 violations during the first six months of this year.

Violation of running a red light:

The list of violations also includes a violation of crossing a red light signal, as the General Traffic Department recorded 16,892 violations.

Violation of not leaving enough space between vehicles:

14,084 violations of not leaving a sufficient distance between vehicles were recorded, which is also a dangerous violation, especially when committed on highways, as it reduces the chances of avoiding accidents, and it ranked second during the first half of this year.

Sudden car drift violation:

Also, the list of violations included the sudden deviation of the vehicle, which is one of the dangerous violations that are usually associated with the driver’s preoccupation with the phone, so 5738 violations were recorded.

Stopping in the middle of the road without justification:

Standing in the middle of the road without justification is also one of the most serious violations that the administration warns against, as the number reached 7,600 violations during the first six months of this year, according to what was published by Al-Emarat Al-Youm newspaper.
