Abu Dhabi: parking will be free For the Eid Al Fitr holiday

For the Eid Al Fitr holidays, Abu Dhabi has promised free parking in the emirate.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi has announced that parking fees for Mawaqif will be abolished starting on Thursday, April 20, and continuing through the end of the holiday.

During the Eid holiday, parking at the Musaffah M-18 lorry parking lot will also be free.

Beginning on Thursday, the Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed, Al Maqta, and Mussaffah bridges' Darb toll gates will not be charged throughout the holiday.

After the Eid vacation, the toll gate tolls will be reinstated between the hours of 7am and 9am and 5pm and 7pm.

The ITC advises motorists to stay away from parking in off-limits locations and obstructing traffic. Drivers should refrain from parking in residential spots between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. and keep their vehicles in authorised parking places.

During the vacation, customer service offices will be closed throughout the emirate, but consumers can still apply for ITC services online via the company's website, the Darbi and Darb websites and applications, as well as the Tamm platform.

Public bus services in the emirate will run on a regular timetable during the holiday, with the option to increase the number of regional bus journeys in response to demand.

In order to meet the anticipated rise in demand for the services, the ITC has also coordinated with private sector operators to enhance the number of intercity bus routes.

Throughout the holiday, the on-demand bus service Abu Dhabi Link and the Abu Dhabi Express will run from 6 am to 11 pm.
