Cyber security: UAE tackles 50 thousand cyber attacks daily
The President of the UAE Government Cyber security Council, Dr. "Mohammed Hamad al-Kuwaiti", has declared that the Council, in cooperation with its partners, is tackling more than 50 thousand cyber attacks per day targeting strategic sectors in the country.

Oracle Cloud World Abu Dhabi tour
On the sidelines of the "Oracle Cloud World Abu Dhabi" tour, which was launched in the capital today, Kuwaiti has stated that the banking, financial, health, oil and gas sector is at the top of the most targeted strategic sectors, noting that all attacks are proactively, efficiently and professionally addressed to fortify the country's digital space against any dangerous attacks.
As he noted that the UAE has a highly developed digital infrastructure and advanced means, in order to tackle malicious cyber attacks targeting sectors and government institutions which has made it the world number five with the United Nations International Telecommunication Union's Cybersecurity Index, which monitors levels of improvements of awareness of the importance of cybersecurity in 193 countries around the world.

He also pointed out that the Cybersecurity Council had succeeded in promoting cyberculture in the UAE society at the level of institutions and individuals by launching several national initiatives, including the Cyber Pulse Initiative, which targeted all segments of society and aimed at spreading the culture of cybersecurity in the UAE society in line with digital transformation in all sectors.
He added that the council today has signed an Oracle memorandum of understanding which aimed at expanding cooperation between the two institutions in protecting the country's cybersecurity and proactively countering cyberattacks by collaborating with digital service providers and strengthening the first line of defense in cyberspace.
