During the summer, in Dubai schools will be closed for a full nine weeks - United Arab of Emirates

On June 26, just in time for Eid al-Fitr, most schools in Dubai are scheduled to let out for an extended summer break of nine weeks.

On Monday, June 26, schools in Dubai will be closing for the summer, as indicated by a calendar that can be found on the website of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

Because Arafat Day and Eid Al Ahda are forecasted to occur between June 27 and June 30, it is likely that students will have more time off from school over the summer.

Dubai schools summer holiday

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has already set the start and end dates for the academic year 2023–2024.

The start of the upcoming school year is on August 28, 2023, which means that schools in Dubai will be out of session for a total of nine weeks.

Schools in Dubai are entitled to grant a certain degree of leeway regarding the dates of their terms while still adhering to the parameters set by the KHDA.

The academic schedule followed by Dubai International Academy currently coincides with the dates proposed by the KHDA; the conclusion of the summer term is scheduled for the 26th of June.

However, GEMS World Academy announces that the last day of classes for the summer term will be on Friday, July 7.

According to the KHDA, the academic year cannot come to a close before the 28th of June. On the other hand, given that Eid al-Adha is forecasted to occur close to the same day, a lot of schools are going to decide to conclude the school year when they announce the Eid holiday.

Moon sightings and official statements made by the KHDA will determine the precise dates of the Eid al-Adha vacations for Dubai schools. These dates are only estimations at this time.

Holidays for the rest of the year have had their likely dates revealed, providing residents with the opportunity to make advance preparations.
