According to what was announced by the Sharjah Police General Command today, Thursday, March 2, 2022, a discount of fifty percent on traffic violations has been announced in the Emirate of Sharjah for a period of thirty-one days in a row in order to ease the burden on drivers and car owners. This discount will be in effect in the Emirate of Sharjah.

As a continuation of the decision that was issued by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah regarding the permanent discount project to regulate the percentage of exemption from traffic violations in the emirate, which was announced the day before yesterday, the Sharjah Police General Command has announced a discount of fifty percent on traffic violations that will be enforced during the month of March that is currently underway.

Infractions that will see a reduction of fifty percent

The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Sharjah Police Department, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Alai Al Naqbi, stated that the 50% discount for violations came with the aim of settling old violations prior to applying the permanent discount for violations. This discount applies to all violations registered before the date of March 31, 2023, with the exception of aggravated violations.
