Dubai: No appointment needed for Filipino expats requesting passports
The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) Has announced that there is no need for Filipino expats in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who have applied for passport renewal to make a phone call or schedule an online appointment in order to pick up their passports.

As the mission advised Filipinos to visit the PCG website and use the passport renewal tracker (https://dubaipcg.dfa.gov.ph/services/passports/available-for-release) to check if the document is available for pickup at the consulate or VFS Global at Wafi Mall.
According to the PCG, "For those whose passport is not yet available more than sixweeks after the date of passport renewal application, please send an email to: [email protected]."
How to use the tracker
Utilizing the PCG passport tracker is simple:
- Navigate to the PCG website.
- Go to the “services” drop-down menu and select passport, then select “available for release”.
- Enter your last name, first name, and middle name (optional), then press search.
Philippine Consulate working hours
1.Passports should be retrieved from the location where they were applied for, either the Philippine Consulate in Al Qusais 3 or VFS Global in Wafi Mall. 2.Passports are released at the Philippine Consulate from Monday to Friday (except on legal holidays) between 7.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. (Monday–Thursday) and 7.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Fridays). 3.VFS Global at Wafi Mall is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday (except on legal holidays).
Required documents to apply for a passport
- Old passport
- Official receipt
- Reference number (in any form) to facilitate the passport retrieval
Authorized representative
Those who are unable to get their passports in person may permit someone else to do so. The following requirements must be presented by the representative:
- Authorization letter (if the representative is a close relative) or a specific power of attorney (if the representative is not a close relative).
- A copy of the passport holder's valid identification card
- Authorized representative's original valid identification
According to Philippine Department Order No. 37-03, all passports left unclaimed for six months from the date of issuance will be cancelled.
