On December 2nd, 2017 the United Arab Emirates celebrated their 44th National Day.
The UAE is a federation of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. It was established on December 2nd 1971.

This year, the government held a ceremony at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium where Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, declared that “Achieving national unity is an ongoing process that requires continuous development and commitment”.
The UAE is home to over 8 million people who live in six different emirates and speak more than 120 languages.
