Yet seeing remains extremely difficult and requires a careful telescope, an observer, a pioneer, and exceptional opportunity.
The sighting of the crescent of the auspicious month of Shawwal on Thursday, Ramadan 29, which corresponds to April 20, has been announced by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in order to identify the date of the Eid al-Fitr prayer 2023 in the Emirates.
And the authority said that the first days of Eid al-Fitr have not yet been determined, and that it will be proclaimed the following Thursday, after inspecting the crescent of the auspicious month of Shawwal.
