An official website affiliated with a UAE government agency announced a few hours ago that the state is going to open the door for submitting applications for foreigners wishing to obtain golden residency soon, for new categories in Abu Dhabi.
Duration of golden residence for new categories
The site revealed that the long-term golden residency period granted to those whose applications are approved from the six new categories will be 10 years.

Abu Dhabi grants long-term golden residency to:
(Investors, innovators and talents who wish to live, work and grow in Abu Dhabi, professionals and researchers in the fields of science such as doctors, specialists, scientists and inventors, as well as talented, creative, athletes, in addition to the owners of emerging companies, as well as real estate investors in Abu Dhabi).
The 6 new categories of residents who are candidates for golden residency in the Emirates
First: elite researchers and clerics:
Provided that a recommendation is obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Youth, or a recommendation is obtained from the competent local authorities.
Second: Distinguished specialists in industry and sectors of the Fourth Industrial Revolution:
In the event of obtaining a recommendation from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or from the competent local authorities.
Third: Distinguished Healthcare Experts:
Provided they obtain a recommendation from the Ministry of Health and Prevention or the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi,
And they have a valid license to work in the UAE.
Fourth: Specialists in educational fields:
Two conditions have been set for this category to obtain the golden residency, namely (they have obtained a recommendation from the Ministry of Education or the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, and they have obtained a valid license to work in Abu Dhabi or the Emirates.
Fifth: Talented geniuses in other important fields:
The Emirates stipulated that they obtain the approval or recommendation of the competent federal or local authorities.
Sixth: Talents in digital technology:
Provided they obtain a recommendation from the Emirates Council for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transactions or the relevant local authorities.
