emirates announces free parking on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport of Abu Dhabi announced on Wednesday that parking will be free for Abu Dhabi residents during Eid Al Fitr.

On Thursday, April 20, surface parking at Mawaqif will be free until the end of the holiday. According to the ITC, the Musaffah M-18 vehicle parking lot will also be free during the Eid holiday.

Beginning on Thursday, the Darb toll gate system will be free during the holiday. After the Eid holiday, toll gate tolls will be reinstated during peak hours (7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

The ITC urges motorists to avoid parking in restricted areas and impeding traffic flow. It urged them to park appropriately in designated areas and to avoid residential parking spaces between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Customers' Happiness Centres in Abu Dhabi will be closed from Thursday, April 20 through the duration of the holiday. In addition, customers can continue to apply for ITC services online through the ITC website, the Darbi and Darb websites and applications, and the TAMM platform.

During the holiday, public bus services in the emirate will operate as usual, with an increase in regional bus journeys based on demand. In addition, the ITC has coordinated with private sector operators to increase the number of intercity bus services proportionally to the anticipated increase in demand for such services.

During the holiday, the Abu Dhabi Express and Abu Dhabi Link bus services will operate from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
