Today, the State of Kuwait announced the suspension of all work visas for expatriates arriving in the country, especially after the recent accusations by the Kuwaiti government against its Philippine counterpart of violating work-related agreements between the two countries.

According to the "Kuwait Times," the Kuwaiti government's recent decision came with enforceable orders from the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior, "Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah," who confirmed that the Philippines did not abide by the terms of the two countries' work agreement.

And the official start of work with this decision, and stopping all features of the entry of Filipino workers into the country, due to non-compliance with the application of the provisions of the labor agreement between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior seeks, through the decision, to impose its sovereignty and the strict laws it imposes on expatriate workers.

It is worth noting that the Kuwaiti Cabinet has approved the formation of the National Committee to regulate the demographics in the country, which caused widespread controversy on social media platforms.

Most of the work of this committee is related to amending the demographic structure and interest in addressing the imbalances in the demographic structure and the labor market in the State of Kuwait, in light of the presence of large numbers of foreign workers in the country.
