Electronic alert service for employers when wages are late

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has launched two new electronic services within the Wage Protection System services for domestic workers, including a service aimed at sending electronic notices and alerts to employers who are late in paying the wages of domestic workers, informing them of the need to pay salaries through the system on the second and eighth days after the due date.

Penalties for employers who are late in paying salaries

While the Ministry confirmed that it will take administrative measures against employers who fail to pay wages through the system within two months of the due date, which is to suspend their files, which prevents them from obtaining permits to recruit new workers, until payment of wages through the system.

In detail, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation started, yesterday, the experimental activation of two new electronic services, within the regulatory framework of the wage protection system for domestic workers.

The first service in the wages protection system

The first aims to send automatic notifications and alerts to employers of the need to register their domestic helpers in the system, provided that the periodicity of sending these notifications is monthly (the first of each month).
The second service in the new wages protection system

It aims to send notices and other electronic alerts to employers who are late in paying the wages of domestic workers, to inform them of the need to pay salaries through the system on the second and eighth days after the due date.
