The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has launched an awareness traffic campaign under the slogan “the dangers of random parking on the sides of the main roads”, warning drivers of the dangers of random parking, which leads to traffic accidents, and the resulting deaths, injuries or material losses, and the obstruction it causes. She emphasized that the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law, in Article 62, stipulates the prohibition of stopping vehicles at road junctions and bends, and violators are punished with a fine of 500 dirhams, while Article No. Violators will be fined 500 dirhams.

Warning to bus and truck drivers due to the random parking violation:
During the launch of the campaign, Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, called on truck drivers, heavy vehicles, buses and all road users to avoid random parking on the roads, and to commit to parking in designated places.
