The UAE announces 10,000 new jobs by the end of the fiscal year

In its annual report, the Emirates Group said that, as the recovery of operations accelerated, Emirates and dnata recalled and rehired workers who were on temporary leave or were laid off.

She indicated that recruitment campaigns were organized to renew and enhance the group's future talents and capabilities. As a result, the total number of employees in the Emirates Group increased by 13% to 85,219 employees representing more than 160 different nationalities, with the addition of about 10,000 new jobs.

She added that during the fiscal year 2021/2022, the Emirates Group invested 7.9 billion dirhams ($2.2 billion) in new aircraft, facilities, and the latest technologies to prepare the business for recovery and future growth. It has also moved forward with its environmental strategy that focuses on reducing carbon emissions, consuming resources responsibly, and preserving wildlife and habitats. The group has supported community, humanitarian and charitable initiatives in its various markets, in addition to innovation incubators and other programs that nurture talent, innovation and future solutions for industry growth.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “2021/2022 was the year of recovery for the Emirates Group, after we passed the most difficult year in the history of our group. It is not only about restoring our capacity, but also about increasing our future capabilities while rebuilding. Our goal is to build better and stronger. So that we can provide better experiences for our customers and more support for the communities we serve.”
