Urgent UAE: setting 7 conditions for the recruitment of new labor from outside the country

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has set seven requirements for private sector employers registered with the ministry to hire new foreign workers, emphasizing that meeting the requirements enables the establishments to issue new work permits for foreign workers to fill the establishment's needs.

In a recent instructional video on its official social media pages, the ministry stated that the seven conditions are "the need to have electronic permits at the facility, and the age of the worker to be recruited should not be less than 18 years, as well as meeting the relevant conditions in specialized professions." In addition to this, it is imperative that the profession of the worker to be recruited coincides with the activity of the enterprise, and that the establishment possesses a valid license, provided that the application for recruitment and obtaining a work permit is submitted by the legally authorized representative of the establishment, and finally, the absence of an effective work permit for the worker to be recruited".
