Prince Harry and Meghan flee from a dangerous car chase
According to a representative for the pair, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were involved in a "near catastrophic car chase" with photographers on Tuesday night in New York,The couple's office reported that after leaving a charity event in New York on Tuesday, the couple and Meghan's mother were trailed for more than two hours by a dozen cars,The chase "resulted in numerous near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and two NYPD officers," it said in a statement on Wednesday.

The incident was described as "near catastrophic",The pair added in a statement that while being a prominent figure attracts attention from the public, it should never come at the expense of anyone's safety.
The New York City police department acknowledged the interaction between the couple and the photographers but stated that no accidents, crashes, or arrests occurred.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were being protected by a private security team, according to the police, but "there were many photographers that made their transport challenging," they claimed.
It was "reckless and irresponsible" for anybody to be following individuals in cars in the highly populated metropolis, according to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who told reporters he hadn't yet received a complete briefing about the event. He also stated that "two of our officers could have been injured."
