Urgent .. 7.3-magnitude earthquake and the warning system warned of a "tsunami"

According to the US Geological Survey, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands region on Monday. This location is located close to New Zealand.

The epicenter of the earthquake was found ten kilometers below the surface of the earth.
Following the earthquake, the United States tsunami warning system first issued an alert regarding the potential for a tsunami; however, they later decided to retract the warning and delete it from their website.

Nevertheless, there were no reports of injuries or damage at the time of the earthquake itself. Recent reports suggest that a powerful earthquake shook a significant area of New Zealand; despite this, there have been no reports of any damage or injuries resulting from the earthquake.

The organization that monitors seismic activity in the country and goes by the name Geo Net reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.1 and that its epicenter was situated in close proximity to Wellington, the capital city of the country.

She went on to say that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometers at approximately 7:30 pm (or 0630 GMT), which implies that it was felt intensely and widely by the public. She also mentioned that the earthquake occurred at a time that was nearly equivalent to GMT.
