A few hours ago, the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police announced that violations of the "minimum speed" system had actually started to be implemented on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road in the first and second lanes, or the so-called express lanes in both directions, after the expiry of the warning violation period.

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command stressed the importance of applying the “minimum speed” system in order to support traffic safety on the roads in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Police also indicated in this statement that the maximum speed on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road is 140 km/h. The minimum speed on the same road is 120 km/h, and the minimum speed is activated in the first and second lanes on the left side.

In its official statement regarding the activation of minimum speed violations on the roads, Abu Dhabi Police announced that among its most important goals in activating the minimum speed is firstly to maintain the safety of drivers, secondly to oblige slow-moving vehicles to move on the right lanes, and thirdly to make way for vehicles with priority that are Coming from behind or from the left.

Abu Dhabi Police stressed that the seizure of violating drivers and all road users who drive their cars on the roads of Abu Dhabi at a speed of less than 120 km / h will begin today, because the warning period has officially ended, and the value of the fine for driving a car at speed is scheduled to be Less than the minimum speed set by the Abu Dhabi Police for the road, if any, as the fine reaches 400 dirhams.
