Emirates Astronomy announced the expected date of Eid-Al Adha 2023

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomical Society, and a member of the Arab Union for Space and Astronomy, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, predicted that Eid al-Adha will fall on Wednesday, June 28, As he stated that the new crescent for the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is born on Sunday, June 18 at 08:37 am (UAE time), and with sunset for the same day, the age of the crescent is 10:33 hours, and the crescent is located above the western horizon with a height of five degrees, and sets about 29 minutes after sunset. He added that accordingly, Monday, THE 19th of June , will be the first day of Dhul-Hijjah, Tuesday, June 27, the day of Arafat, and Wednesday, June 28, the blessed Eid al-Adha, according to astronomical calculations. Al-Jarwan declared that Saudi Arabia and most countries will take what the people of the Haram approve of the date of rituals time of Dhul-Hijjah there.

The date of Eid Al-Adha 1444 / 2023

Eid al-Adha begins every year on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah (the 12th and last month of the Hijri year), that is occurs immediately after the day of the Arafat day , which is on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, and Eid al-Adha extends for four days ( until the 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah).

As The crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah will be investigated on Sunday (29 Dhu al-Qi'dah) corresponding to June 18, 2023, and according to astronomical calculations this year, the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah will be possible on Sunday evening, as the central conjunction (the central new moon) will occur on Sunday at 04:37 UTC, God willing, and therefore Monday 19 June 2023 will be the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.

So , Tuesday, June 27, will be the day of standing in Arafat, and Wednesday, June 28, the first day of Eid al-Adha.
