UAE work permit visa extension. Now expat visas are valid for 3 years
In accordance with a decision that was handed down by the Federal National Council (FNC) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), work permits have been extended for one more year. The revision will hopefully result in a reduction of some of the fees that are involved with obtaining work permits. At the moment, these licenses are granted for a duration of two years by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation of the United Arab Emirates.

Inspection Visits
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said that out of over 72,000 inspections done this year, almost 2,300 were related to possible incidents of false Emiratisation. Nearly 430 instances were uncovered, and some were forwarded to the district attorney's office.
Compliance with Emiratisation Policies
Twenty businesses were submitted to public prosecution by the MoHRE for breaking Emiratisation standards in January 2023. Companies in the private sector are required by law to hire a disproportionately high proportion of Emirati nationals. Companies in the UAE must employ at least 4% local nationals with specialized skills by the end of the year.
