urgent.. The emirates announces the date of Eid Al-Adha and Date of vacation days, Eid Al-Adha is predicted to occur on Wednesday, June 28th, according to Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society and member of the Arab Federation for Astronomy and Space Sciences.

According to Al Jarwan, the new crescent for the month of Dhu al-Hijjah will be born on Sunday, June 18, at 08:37 a.m. (UAE time), and with sunset on the same day, the crescent will be 10:33 hours old, with a height of five degrees above the western horizon. It sets approximately 29 minutes after sunset.

It is expected that the 28th of June will be the first day of Eid Al-Adha

According to astrological estimates, Monday, June 19, will be Dhu al-Hijjah, Tuesday, June 27, will be the day of Arafah, and Wednesday, June 28, will be Eid al-Adha.

Al-Jarwan noted that because the feelings in Saudi Arabia and most countries would follow what the inhabitants of the sanctuary decide on as a date for the rites, Monday, June 19, is expected to be the first of Dhu al-Hijjah there.

He pointed out that because the moon is born at 8:37 a.m., the age of the moon at sunset is less than 12 hours, making it difficult to observe the crescent, so if the age of the moon at sunset is more than 15 hours, an agreement to enter the new month is expected. However, if the moon was not born or set before sunset, there will be an agreement not to begin the new month.

According to the Emirates Digital Government Portal, the Council of Ministers adopted a decision in 2019 specifying official holidays in the government sector and granting similar official holidays to the private sector, with the goal of improving communication and balance between them and supporting the national economy in its various sectors.

And she stated that the stand of Arafah and Eid al-Adha will be four days from 9-12 Dhu al-Hijjah 1444, within the list of official holidays approved by the UAE government for the year 2023, warning that Islamic occasions depend on the sighting of the crescent, and their Gregorian dates may differ depending on the vision.
