In conjunction with Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has launched a free medical check-up program that is aimed at passengers passing through the Dubai International Airport, administrative officials, and staff members of 25 companies who have offices there.
Major General Talal Al Shanqiti, assistant director for airports affairs at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, said the initiative aims to promote health awareness among Dubai airport staff and travelers, as well as the significance of routine screening for the early detection of various diseases.
The department's goal is to examine a large number of employees and travelers to establish the culture of periodic examination and its significance for them. He emphasized the need for periodic medical examinations to become a prevailing community culture for everyone to detect and treat diseases before they worsen.
In addition to offering numerous training and awareness programs, he emphasized that the free check-up campaign was offered to all airport workers and passengers traveling through Dubai Airport.
For his part, Marwan Haji Nasser, Chairman and CEO of Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, stated that the campaign offers free medical examinations for visitors and staff at Dubai Airport Terminal 1 in 8 different medical specialties, including "internal medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics, Geriatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, physiotherapy, dermatology, and urology," in addition to educational programs on healthy eating.
Haji Nasser emphasized that the campaign, which is being carried out in collaboration with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, aims to increase awareness of the value of routine medical examinations, promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as identify any illnesses that visitors or employees may be unknowingly carrying and aid in their treatment.
